Companionship can play a crucial role in the well-being and quality of life for the client. Many individuals may be living alone or not have many opportunities for social interaction which can lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation. Having a companion visiting regularly can provide much-needed company and help combat those negative emotions.

What I enjoy the most with my previous experience with Companion Care in Canada was the relationships I developed with my clients. They shared stories of their lives and created memories with new experiences. I loved hearing how the families were all getting on and what my clients got up to in the week with their families and friends.   This can also have huge benefits on a client’s physical health. It can reduce stress and lower blood pressure, provide emotional and cognitive stimulation and social engagement.

Encouraging well-being and happiness holds intrinsic value for both the caregiver and the client.
